THE MESSIAH

Before the Messiah Comes:
We're Not Ready
All every single person on the planet would have
to do is act nicely toward the people and other
sentient beings and objects around him, and we
would have Heaven on Earth.
Every person that starves to death in a world with
enough food delays the coming of the Messiah
another millennium.
Jesus will come a second time, and we're so
fucked up he may have to die again.
How to Hasten the Messiah
Cheer up! Be ecstatic! Eventually all killing of
people and animals will end. All will have enough
to eat, and war will end. Earth will be the Heavenly
Paradise it was intended to be all along, and still
can be. Each second is one second closer to that
time. Isn't that wonderful! Try your utmost,
because your actions may even hasten that time!
But be certain that without your actions right now,
that time may not come.
Hasten the coming of the Messianic Age: If you
believe it'll come as the work of Man, then
obviously you need to start. If you believe it'll be
Divinely ushered, you need to help create the
preconditions so the Divine will know we're ready.
Pay Attention
Be ever alert (for the coming of the Messiah, or
the Messianic age). Isn't that what all activity is all
about?
Every thing done, word spoken, thought thought,
and feeling felt, is yet one thing, one word, one
thought and one feeling closer to the coming of
the Messiah. One should, therefore, do each thing,
speak each word, think each thought and feel
each feeling with the utmost joy, and with
complete attention, because we may miss the
Messiah if, when the time comes, we are not
aware that the Messiah is already here.
The Messiah Can Come At Any Time
The Messiah may pop into appearance at any
moment!
At any moment, the one next to you could burst
out as the One.

How wonderful that at any second (the very next
one, perhaps!) the Messiah/Enfoldment may
occur/happen/be.
Always ready for Everything.
The Messiah Could Be the Person Next to You
When you speak with someone, if past
conversations were unpleasant for any reason,
start afresh, as if this now is the first time you're
speaking with them, and as if you can even
expect, possibly, the words of the ONE to come
forth. And if your past conversations were
pleasant, then remember that fact with all your
heart, and know that this one is just a
continuation of that ONE.
The breaking out of the One from someone from
whom you least expect it could happen in the
midst (in other words not necessarily at the
beginning) of a conversation, or even in a second
conversation, or a third, or a 1000th; so you can
never write anyone off.
Don't forget -- anyone could still burst forth as
you-know-who! So listen with joy and anticipation
to all!
At any moment the one next to you could burst out
as the One.
It's Ever Closer, Be Joyful At the Approach
Every thing done, word spoken, thought thought,
and feeling felt, is yet one thing, one word, one
thought and one feeling closer to the coming of
the Messiah. One should, therefore, do each thing,
speak each word, think each thought and feel
each feeling with the utmost joy, and with
complete attention, because we may miss the
Messiah if, when the time comes, we are not
aware that the Messiah is already here.
Cheer up! Be ecstatic! Eventually all killing of
people and animals will end. All will have enough
to eat, and war will end. Earth will be the Heavenly
Paradise it was intended to be all along, and still
can be. Each second is one second closer to that
time. Isn't that wonderful! Try your utmost,
because your actions may even hasten that time!
But be certain that without your actions right now,
that time may not come.
After the Messiah Comes:
The Kingdom of God
Analogous to "not starve on earth and get food
in heaven, but eat on earth and have something
even better in heaven,"
is the concept: not
psychologically suffer on earth and achieve
peace and serenity in heaven, but feel glorious
happiness and peace on earth, and enjoy
something even better in heaven.
Maybe Heaven isn't when the lame can walk,
and the blind can see, and there's no old age, etc.,
but when we accept the lame, blind, elderly, etc.
as full human beings; and, when the things
that they can probably do better than us, or that
we can't do at all, they are given the opportunity
and the encouragement to do.
Heaven is having the veil lifted: seeing really
clearly all the injustice, oppression, and
exploitation; being filled with the desire to fight
with all your soul against that injustice,
oppression and exploitation; and then actually
doing so, in a community of love with other
like-minded brothers and sisters.
[cf. The Gospel in Solentiname, vol. 3, p. 25]
A friend said, after I gave my Matthew 25:32 rap,
that maybe we create our own hell on earth when
we don't clothe the naked, etc; and we also so
create a hell on earth for others. Conversely,
when we do do those good things, we create
heaven on earth for ourselves and for others.

Also: just as people use the Tibetan Book of the
Dead
(read backwards?) as a guide for how to
live and develop, so similarly, treat Matthew 25:32
eschatologically as a way to live life, and as a way
to create heaven on earth.

All every single person on the planet would have
to do is act nicely toward the people and other
sentient beings and objects around him, and we
would have Heaven on Earth.
Cheer up! Be ecstatic! Eventually all killing of
people and animals will end. All will have enough
to eat, and war will end. Earth will be the Heavenly
Paradise it was intended to be all along, and still
can be. Each second is one second closer to that
time. Isn't that wonderful! Try your utmost,
because your actions may even hasten that time!
But be certain that without your actions right now,
that time may not come.
Everything you do is returned one hundred-fold in
the Afterlife.
Oppression and poverty lead to more babies.
Justice and wherewithal lead to fewer babies.
So the Kingdom of God would have no children;
and also, it would have no need for
reincarnations, or for the immortality/keep stuff
forever/lust for power games
, often played out
through children, which Wilber describes.
When not just men, but all living creatures can
meditate, that will be the final Shalom Amen.
There's No Reason For It Not To Be Here Now
want to stop the torture, stop the killing, stop all
suffering. There's no reason for there to be any.
There's no reason that everything, all activities
can't feel like this...
How to Know If the Messiah Is Here
The Messiah is the one in whose face we see
ours, in whose being we see our selves reflected.

When everyone sees the same self reflected in
someone, that someone is the Messiah, and the
Messiah is Us, or the One Self, the One.

Hear O Israel, the Lord Our God, The Lord is One.

Listen, you, all you who worship and seek, All that
is -- Everything -- is One.

Jesus Is Here Now
Jesus has returned as one of the homeless. Will
we find out which one he or she is before it's too
late?
Jesus didn't say "I was hungry and you gave me a
quarter."
Jesus said the needy one was satisfied.
And if as we do it to the "least" of us is as we do
it to Jesus... think of it! If it was Jesus, wouldn't
we take him out to the best dinner in town, and
then ask, even beg him to stay in our home?
Jesus said "As you did it to one of the least of..."
Letís stop crucifying Jesus a billion times a day.
